On Monday, August 15th, representatives from MasonMac had the privilege of presenting a College Scholarship on behalf of our Nightingale Advantage program.
The Denver Firefighters Foundation solicits local businesses to support graduating seniors of FireFighters in the Denver area each year. We are honored to provide the funds for one of these seven main scholarships awarded! In all, the Denver Fire Foundation was able to give away seven $1500 scholarships, and 3 runner-up scholarships for $500 each, providing 10 high school seniors of local firefighters with funds for their future college plans.
The senior students write essays and submit them for panel review. Out of 36 applicants, 10 are chosen. We were on-site, at the Denver Firefighters museum, to present Jack with one of the scholarships. Jack will be attending California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly) in the fall. We are thrilled for Jack and his family and enjoyed being able to celebrate his scholarship alongside the Denver Fire Foundation.
